This collection of "feaux Renaissance" music contains the theme song from The Duellists, a sword fighting / comedy act that toured throughout the nation. It features the cult hit "The Hedgy Hog Song" in both a studio and live versions, but the surprising nature of these songs stretches the boundaries far beyond novelty music. It contains musical contributions by Grammy-nominated bagpiper Lars Sloan, Tartanic percussionist Adrian Walters,  and flautist phenom Jeff Abrams, as well as Duellists performers Steven Fenley, Jeff Baldwin, and Ann Candler. The more serious compositions on the album are hauntingly romantic, and evoke the lyricism and beauty of 16th century music.
